Sabaa Tahir est l'autrice numéro 1 des meilleures ventes du New York Times pour Le Prix du sang (A Reaper at the Gates), le troisième volet de sa série fantastique acclamée par la critique, Une braise sous la cendre (An Ember in the Ashes).
