David Enrich is an American journalist and author whose work centers on finance, law, corporate power, and institutional corruption. He is known for The Spider Network, Dark Towers, and Servants of the Damned, books that helped illuminate banking scandals, elite legal culture, and the mechanics of modern white-collar abuse.
David Enrich grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, and graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2001. Even as a student, he was experimenting with digital publishing, helping found a student-run campus website. After college he worked in Washington journalism and at Dow Jones, then joined The Wall Street Journal in 2007 to cover the U.S. banking industry, especially Citigroup, before moving to London and emerging as one of the paper’s key banking journalists during the financial-crisis era.
