We are moving the focus from 'what is torn' to 'how can we make this shoulder functional again,' shifting the narrative from having a broken shoulder to having a shoulder you can learn to move better.
Teaching on assessment, testing, investigation, diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment of Tendinitis around shoulder joint

Traditional physical tests like Jobe’s test or the Neer sign are often viewed as structural diagnosis tools, but current research suggests they function more as symptom provocation tests. Rather than identifying the specific tissue at fault, these tests confirm that a movement causes pain. This shift in understanding encourages clinicians to look beyond just the physical structure and consider a more comprehensive assessment of the patient's shoulder tendinitis.
Research indicates that up to 67% of people will experience shoulder pain at some point in their lifetime. While many associate this pain strictly with physical injury or tendinitis, lifestyle factors play a significant role in its development and persistence. Factors such as smoking and a person's waist-to-hip ratio have been found to impact shoulder health more than previously realized, necessitating a broader approach to clinical diagnosis and patient care.
A progressive loading protocol is an action-oriented treatment strategy used in physical therapy to manage shoulder pain. Instead of relying solely on rest, this method moves the patient through stages starting with simple pain control and advancing toward increased load and function. This approach focuses on building tissue tolerance and helping patients return to their daily activities or gym routines by systematically increasing the demands placed on the shoulder over time.
