Peter Richard Haddow Forrest, Autor von The End of Alchemy, ist ein australischer Philosoph und Historiker, der dafür bekannt ist, spekulative Theologie mit wissenschaftlicher Forschung zu verbinden.

Als Professor Emeritus an der University of New England und Fellow der Australian Academy of the Humanities erforscht Forrest in seinen Arbeiten Metaphysik, Zeit sowie die Schnittstelle zwischen Glauben und Naturgesetzen.
