Shelby Van Pelt ist die Bestsellerautorin von Glück ist für lose Enden (Originaltitel: Remarkably Bright Creatures), einem literarischen Debütroman, der Themen wie Trauer, Verbundenheit und zweite Chancen durch die ungewöhnliche Freundschaft zwischen einer Witwe und einem gefangenen Oktopus erkundet.
