Though not a feminist, Ursula excelled in a male-dominated profession. Her communism wasn't intellectual fashion but born from witnessing the savage inequalities of Weimar and the horrors of Nazism. Risk-addicted, tough, and warm, she inspired enduring loyalty. Her life spanned the entire communist era, from the Bolshevik Revolution to the fall of the Berlin Wall. She fought for what she believed right, only to see much of it proven wrong. Yet she remained proud of fighting Nazism, loving well, raising a family, and helping ensure nuclear parity between superpowers. Even in old age, her nightmares revealed her true identity: "The enemy is at my heels and I have no time to destroy the information."
