Born: July 09, 1962 – New York City, New York, United States
Jordan Belfort is an American author, former stockbroker, and speaker focused on sales, persuasion, and entrepreneurship. He is best known for the memoir The Wolf of Wall Street and its sequel, Catching the Wolf of Wall Street; his story reached a global audience through the 2013 film adaptation directed by Martin Scorsese.
Jordan Belfort was born in Queens, New York, in 1962 and showed an appetite for business early, selling Italian ice on Jones Beach before earning a biology degree from American University. After a meat-and-seafood venture failed, he moved into stockbroking in 1987 and founded Stratton Oakmont two years later. The firm made him rich and notorious, and it fixed the basic pattern of his public identity: hustler, salesman, financier, and showman at once. Much of his later public brand would circle back to those beginnings, presenting ambition as both his advantage and his weakness. ((https://www.biography.com/business-leaders/jordan-belfort))
